"Skies the Limit"
As far as Eric and his family are concerned, "skies the limit" for Eric. But what are Eric's plans for the future? Through an interview Eric tells us a little about him and what exactly his plans are for the future.
Ever since Eric Saunders began racing when he was 6 years old, things kept getting better for him. It seemed like every
year Eric would put the hard work and determination into racing, and the wins kept on coming. Along with the wins came sponsors. Now 16, Eric has added five new sponsors for the 2009 season, a web site, and will even be riding a 450 this year. Things are looking up for Eric. Eric's family says, "skies the limit".
Eric has the bikes, the sponsors, and gear, but what is next for him? What are his goals for the 2009 season? "My main goal for the 2009 season is the same as it has been since day 1, to show everyone what I can do," said the 16 year old phenom. "I want to prove to everyone that I to can be someone!" So far to this point Eric has done more than prove himself. With over 500 career wins, Eric has quickly shown many people that he is one of the top riders in the state and more importantly, the nation.
Eric has an outstanding resume and reputation in the area, but Eric wants to make 2009 his breakout season and get people to notice him from coast to coast. "I really believe that if Eric keeps working hard and stays focused on racing, he should be able to make a career in motorsports," say Eric's dad, Irish. That is exactly what Eric plans on doing. "In the next few years I hope to be living life to the fullest and working hard to make a career in motocross," said Eric.
